My first experience with military uniforms—this subject matter was completely new to me. I accepted the commission almost without a second thought. It took quite a while to complete. Because I'd never done this kind of work before, even though I always set a conservative timeframe when requesting a deadline, it still exceeded my expectations a little. Adding to that, the depiction of the rain-soaked textures took considerable time. I spent a lot of time searching for references. However, the feeling of finding references and improving while researching was really interesting. It reminded me of how I've improved my skills in the past. It's often because something is interesting that I delve deeper, learning and growing through that depth. Of course, it's not always smooth sailing. But because it's fun, those setbacks only add to the enjoyment of growth. Like playing video games, if you lose, you practice and level up; once you reach the required level, completing the game is just a natural progression. At that point, I'm more looking forward to what new challenges and experiences await, rather than dwelling on past failures. This reminds me again that I can approach new challenges with a playful mindset.
