Looking back on twenty years at Jin Ying, we haven't just made pottery; we've used pottery to record time. Every project we've undertaken has been a struggle between ideals and reality. We listen to our clients' expectations, record every story, uncover the truth behind the contradictions, and overcome the technical challenges arising from conflict. The moment we complete a piece with our partners, memories and connections are frozen in time—each participant finds their own profound mark within the work. We constantly strive, in the cycle of challenges and setbacks, of rebuilding and starting over, never compromising, never giving up. We can't help but stand before the kiln, still warm from the heat, peeking into a corner of the kiln, hoping for the ideals left after the firing. We know that the anticipation at the moment of opening the kiln is not just about the kiln's temperature, but about the passion within. The kiln temperature will eventually fade, but that burning heart will be rekindled time and time again.
